I've actually never used a pattern to make ANYTHING before; it was quite an odd experience. I kept wanting to change things.
I added an extra piece to the head, as well as changing the wing style and making the tail quite a lot longer. Fun little fella; he only took about four hours from start to finish. I wanted to do something in the 'in-between' time to take a break from bigger projects every now and then.
The colouration on him is all acrylic.
Very simple pattern! I'd suggest checking it out if you're interested in sewing and want to make one of these little guys.
You certainly know what you're doing. I'm doing a close to 3ft liopleurodon in white polar fleece, but the back is supposed to b mostly black. What fabric paint do u reccommend?
Ah, thank you. You've certainly got some neat plushes in your gallery as well!
To be honest, I'm not that experienced with fabric paints. I used basic acrylics for these, slightly watered down. If I were to do them again, I'd water it down a bit more to give them a bit less texture.
Fabric dye might be an idea, although I've not yet tested it out.
Good luck; I'd love to see the finished result. ^^
Yea, I just tried it as well. Seems the site doesn't exist anymore. I would try going to Isis's site, and taking a look through there. I believe the pattern might have been posted somewhere there. (As well as some very amusing comics and illustrations.)

I think I'll sew before painting.
It's gonna be great.

Your paint job on him is excellent, it def. gives him more "depth" if you get what i mean!
