beautiful the sunset is very wonderfully done I like the different brush strokes your art has sort of an impressionistic look to it. :)

Well done

Art is nine tenths ones self the other tenth is mental clarity..use your imagination!
:iconladyserpent:
Hmm, that's interesting. I've never seen it as impressionistic before, but I do see what you mean.

Thanks, mate. : )

I really love the colors. Feet look a little funny, and head isn't as realistic as the body. I love the lighting though.

Having something in common with Mahatma Gandhi, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, and Sir Isaac Newton, isn't so bad...right?
:iconwolf-of-dawson:
I am faving this one ^_^
:iconladyserpent:
Thank you. I think the feet are actually unmatching.

It's curious how the head doesn't seem a realistic as the body.. It seems OK to me, but I think what might be causing it to look less realistic is the solid colour of the red underneath. Most of the other red on the body is shaken up by fur lines.

Yeah, the head and the feet make it look less realistic. I think it might be that both are subject to a degree of styilization. But the fur-line effect might be true. Try using smaller lines around the face, feet and hands then.

Yeah, this is nice. Except, he has no hips and his legs are a tad uneven.

Would you ever consider experimenting with other mediums over your watercolors....maybe using the watercolors as a base layer...? ^^

Regardless, I like the pose. He's so cute!
:iconladyserpent:
Hm... His actual hips are hidden by his arms, but if you mean something else, I'd love to hear what seems off.

His legs are uneven, yes. Mostly because one is somewhat bigger than the other; a mistake I overlooked by not really observing the sketch too seriously before painting it.

I do like using watercolours and then overlaying with some acrylic (as this one has, for the white in the fur) I've considered doing just backgrounds in watercolour, but I prefer the idea of working fully in acrylic if I'm going to go that route. Acrylic's a bit harder to photograph, though, as it tends to glare.

Thanks for the comments, mate. Always appreciated.

No problem, I'm glad you they're appreciated!
