Artist's Comments

Well holy hell, this took awhile. The wings and the face weren't bad, but I used the smudge tool to create the fur texture, and it took FIFTEEN BLOODY YEARS.

Well, no, not really, but quite a while. *Massages out the hand-cramps*

Hope you like it. I don't often do digital art as I think it's too easy to get a good product and I enjoy the challenge of traditional, but it was a fun one to do. Personally, I do like the wings. It's about the second pair of feathery wings I've ever done that are worth showing.

Drawn in photoshop; the background is a modified stock from here: [link]

This is BEAUTIFUL. And very realistic. I love the expression, and the background.

I think it's one of your best yet. She has a bit of a dog-like tail, but otherwise, it's a beautiful piece.

I'm not one for winged wolves, but this is really nice.

Ah, well thank you kindly. ^_^

Yea, I usually do wolf-tails obscenely long. It's just another one of those stylistic things. I actually thought this one was rather short for how I usually do them. Or perhaps just skinnier than usual.

The background is just a modified stock pic. The real credit there is in the amazing stock photograph. : )

Thanks for the kind words.

Gorgeous.

I love the scenery and how it fits so well with everything.

The wolf looks awesome!

Arabs and Thoroughbreds do it best.

Hmm, well, it's still a really nice picture.

You managed to make it look like part of the picture.

And thanks also for taking the time to comment. So many people +fav and run these days. : ) Thank you!

I really like this one. One of your best !

Just bend the prongs, and reverse the pigtail.

Ah, well thank you! You know, I didn't even know you watched me. I thought I just watched you. XD

You're welcome.

I try my best not to do that, but I know how you feel. On my older account I've had it happen quite a few times.

Holy crap Sephy, you really outdid yourself with this! Granted the background is gorgeous, but the winged wolf makes the whole pic. I know what you mean about the digital/traditional stuff; I tend to lean more traditional myself, but this is an amazing piece of work. Have you ever thought about trying to replicate that with your regular medium? Damn girl, your hard work and long hours put into this excellent piece of work definitely shows your endless, awesome talent. I think we have our next Picasso...with boobs. :worship:

I didn't do it, you didn't see me do it, and you can't prove a thing!!
:iconladyserpent:
XD

Rawr! Thank you! Yea, you have a good hand with a pencil as well. Have you been doing anything art-wise lately?

I havn't thought of replicating this one specifically, but I am in the process of redoing some of my oldest pics. I just find that once you've finished a pic, you can get bored if you try to do the same idea again. :) Variety is good.

Thanks for such a warming comment. : ) I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Cheers,
-Sephren
