Artist's Comments

Just a quickie of an andalite (Blue alien taur-creature) from K.A. Applegate's "Animorphs" series.

He barely fit on the page; the poor guy has to crouch. I thought he turned out kind of sexy for a guy.

Cheers,
-LS

Calling those things sexy kinda makes me laugh, but I love the muscles and the pose. This is probably the only decent artwork I've seen from this series. And he looks so cool too. Almost forgot about all their fingers.

Having something in common with Mahatma Gandhi, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, and Sir Isaac Newton, isn't so bad...right?

Didn't know you were a fan. Danke, Tass. ^_^ Yea, I miss them too. Not sure I really want to read the ones I've missed.. the ending was so brutally .. saddening.

Ah, you know they're sexy. :P But thanks; I know there's some decent art out there but I appreciate the compliment. ^^ There isn't actually a lot of andalite fanart that I've come across. Strange, because it was such an excellent series.

Yea, that's one thing I never really liked the idea of, is six fingers and weak little arms and hands, but while drawing it, it's actually quite fun to try and make it look feeble.

Yeah I used to adore the books back in the day. But I started losing interest around book 30... When it started to get rather weird.

The Andalite form really suits your willowy sense of proportion. Thanks for the memories. I had totally forgotten about these guys.

wow. i haven't thought about animorphs in forever.

...this is pretty much how i always pictured them, tho. love the spindly fingers and the flow of the tail.

stay zen

Well, it makes sense that the arms and hands are weak, because they were never used to support them, only for manipulating objects.
I thought it was a very good idea myself...

OMG i remember those books!
its been so long since i read one....

oh and nice drawing!

Oh, Animorphs. I never did get quite far in the series (book eight was probably the last one I read since the Finnish translations came quite slowly and I lost my interest), but this picture sure brings back those memories :)

I like your slim and elegant style in drawing, an it suits the Andalite very well. The anatomy looks good, and I have to admire the hands and the fingers. The colouring is nice as well even though it might look quite simple.
